The Monterey Bay Users Group - Personal Computer (MBUG-PC) is a California non-profit public benefit corporation organized for educational purposes. MBUG-PC evolved from a small group of new PC owners who got together in May 1983 to share their new-found knowledge with each other. This tradition continues although there are now over 170 people active in the group. Incorporation was completed, and California non-profit status granted April 26, 1988. Tax-Exempt status as a publicly supported charity (501c3) was granted in October 1989. In addition to the association with others of similar interests, the benefits of joining MBUG-PC include educational meetings, an informative, award winning, monthly newsletter, and technical support by a group of knowledgeable MBUG-PC members. MBUG-PC welcomes all those who want to become more involved in the use of personal computers and are willing to actively participate in club activities to pursue that goal.

MBUG is open to all individuals interested in the IBM-PC (and compatible) family of personal computers.

One General Meeting a month is held.

Workshops are aimed at beginners, intermediates, and advanced computer users.

Members receive a monthly newsletter. Subscription to the MBUG-PC Newsletter is $25 per year ($20 electronic edition). Subscription applications are available at meetings, or call (831) 655-4443 to request an application. Our application form is also downloadable in Adobe's Acrobat PDF format.
